John Travolta’s teenage son reportedly died from a ”seizure disorder.”

An autopsy on 16-year-old Jett – who died on Friday (January 2, 2009) after collapsing in the bathroom of his family’s Bahamas hotel – was carried out at the Rand Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Grand Bahama, yesterday (January 5, 2009).

No official results, including the cause of death, have been revealed.

John and his wife Kelly Preston are said to be upset over conflicting reports concerning Jett’s death – they insist rumors he was left alone for 10 hours are untrue – and were desperate for the autopsy to be carried out as soon as possible.

Bahamian politician and close friend of the family, Obie Wilchombe, said: “There was a lot of anxiety over the pathology report.”

“It moves them towards closure so they can move on with the next step.”

After the autopsy, Jett’s body was moved to Grand Bahama’s Restview Memorial Mortuary and Crematorium.

Obie has revealed the couple are struggling to come to terms with the loss of death, and did not want to leave Jett alone at the morgue.

He said: “John and Kelly looked at Jett through a glass screen, and John’s words were, “That’s my son.”

They were separated only by the glass and they stayed there for several hours.

“John was quiet and in a lot of pain. It had been the beginning of what can only be described as the worst day of his life.”

Officials at the Restview Memorial Mortuary have revealed Jett’s body was in a good condition and showed no signs of a serious head injury – despite reports he fell and hit his head on the bath after suffering a seizure.

Trained pilot John has reportedly told friends he wants to fly Jett’s remains home to Florida today (January 6, 2009).

The family are said to be keen to return home as soon as possible.
