Jennifer Hudson will perform at the Grammy Awards on February 8.

The “Spotlight” star – who has been nominated for four of the prestigious accolades – will sing at the ceremony at Los Angeles’ Staples Center and also at the Grammy’s MusiCares event on February 6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Other acts set to take to the stage include Coldplay, Jonas Brothers, Lil Wayne, Kenny Chesney, Katy Perry and Carrie Underwood.

Jennifer’s performance at the awards will be her second televised appearance since her mother, brother and nephew were murdered in October.

She is due to sing the US national anthem at the Super Bowl – the showpiece of the American football season – on February 1, to be held in Miami.

Jennifer’s estranged brother-in-law, William Balfour, 27, has been indicted on murder charges for the triple killing of the singer’s mother Darnell Donerson, brother Jason Hudson and her nephew Julian King, the son of Jennifer’s sister Julia.

The 27-year-old star sang “The Star Spangled Banner” in August 2008 at the convention where Barack Obama accepted his candidacy for the US Presidential election.

She is not expected to take part in any of the festivities surrounding his inauguration, which takes place today (Jan 20, 2009).

Jennifer is nominated for Best R’n’B Album for “Jennifer Hudson,” Best R’n’B Female Vocal Performance for “Spotlight,” Best R’n’B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for “I’m His Only Woman” featuring Fantasia and Best R’n’B Song for “Spotlight.”
